The Americans often adobo the French, try to sketch a few words with you. They have often come either to Paris, or to Normandy, or to the South towards Nice. They will gladly give you a bit of conversation.

They are also very friendly and not stingy with compliments! We often complimented Manuel on a bag or a dress, just like that ... Unheard of in France!
